La Morinda

La Morinda refers to an area of Contra Costa County east of the Berkeley Hills that combines the three idyllic cities of Lafayette, Moraga & Orinda. Known as an oasis for recreation, education, cultural and civic life, each small city has its own exceptional flavor. Lafayette is considered the retail epicenter for the larger area, with some excellent fine-dining establishments; Orinda has a beautiful, historic theater; and Saint Mary’s College of California, known for its liberal arts programs, has its home in lovely Moraga. Lafayette and Orinda both have BART stations. La Morinda is a wonderful, highly desirable place to lay roots and raise a family.
